QUESTION: What are T&T Trading Cards and what's with the Gold Cards?
ANSWER: T&T Trading Cards have been developed as part of a larger PowerUP initiative to encourage more clubbers to get more of God's word into them. The official trading card web site is at www.awana.org/ttcards and includes online games, info for leaders, and a place to enter the codes from the trading cards. In the trading card sets, there are a limited number of special gold cards. To use the gold card, the clubber must finish their handbook (or the equivalent) and show the leader the gold card. After the first of the year, leaders will be able to order a special Gold Card Prize Packet through the trading card web site and with the special gold card code. Sometime in late spring 2007, Awana will ship the Gold Card Prize Packets at no cost as an award to the clubber.

QUESTION:What is a Discovery Card and how do I use it?
ANSWER: The T&T handbooks are full of biblical truths that all children should have the opportunity to learn. But for some children, jumping right into the handbooks could be overwhelming due to lack of Bible background or sufficient reading level. That's why we designed the T&T Discovery Cards for the first four Discoveries in T&T Book One. The content is simplified, and individual cards allow a child to go at his own pace and switch over to the handbooks at whatever point he is ready. And the verses and concepts are the same as those in Book One, so children working on Discovery Cards can be part of a regular handbook group. You might want to use them with one or two children or for your whole club. There is also a special record form available for Discovery Cards.

QUESTION: Is there an alternative to Book One, Discovery 5:7, which requires clubbers to bring two friends to club if they've tried and have been unsuccessful?
ANSWER: The intent of the bring-a-friend sections is to give acquaintances the opportunity to hear the Gospel message. Alternative activities that accomplish the same purpose can be substituted. [read the entire article on Awana.org...]

QUESTION: In Book One on page 132 (the Gold section of Discovery 8) the second section appears to state that a clubber will review all 4 questions, 8 answers with the verses to go with each question which equals 32 verses to recite in one sitting. Is this the correct interpretation of that section?
ANSWER: The Gold section is correct. However, the leader could give two helps per question (every eight verses) which would be eight helps all together. Our goal was to challenge the kids with the Gold sections because so many people call us to tell us their child needs more work. We don't expect every child to do this. Also, we have created special certificates to award any clubber that can do this - 4 questions, eight answers with verses. This is a way to review and to challenge the clubbers.

QUESTION: In the new Truth & Training Council Time Lesson book, page 62 states that it goes with Book One Discovery 5, Section 6 but the verses spoken of in the lesson appear to also go with Discovery 6, section 2. Is that right?
ANSWER: You are correct that the Council Time lesson could go with either section.
QUESTION: Book 2, Section 8:7 says to recite a backup verse for the questions. Does this mean to recite 16 verses to match the 16 questions or does it mean to recite 4 verses to match the four main questions?
ANSWER: This section is confusing and does not give enough information. In future printings, the instructions will be rewritten for clubbers to say eight verses, two for each question. The last question "What do I need to know about Satan, angels and the future?" is considered one question.

QUESTION: Book 3, Challenge 8:7 has a code that needs cracking. The T&T Leader's Guidebook has the answer, but how how are you supposed to actually solve this puzzle?
ANSWER: The alphabet goes across the top of each page. Each page starts with a symbol representing the letter "A." However, when putting the spiral into the book, the printer totally cut off the symbol for the letter "S." If you figure the code with the missing "S," the code will work!
